That went better than expected.

Yeah not saying Baena is bad. He is certainly competent. However there are some very good qbs in the league.

You have a nice qb there and will be great once he skills up to the rest of them.

Two big games and both showed the effectiveness of good tackling. Only missing about 20% of tackles while dodging close to 40% of the Gnomes gave me a big edge. An incredible game from Staten didn't hurt either.

Meanwhile in the other game Nantes didn't miss a single tackle leaving too much for Baena to do. I would remind everyone that Nantes jumped to an early lead last season on the back of some incredible tackling.

Might start tracking individual leaders this weekend.

Impressive start from the Pros; could be their season. Week 4 will be a good marker against TRS.

One match was against the division bot but I was very happy with the performance against the Gnomes.

I am confident for tomorrow and while the Crowns have bottled two games they aren't a bot team and I still remember taking a costly loss to them week 1 last season.

Nantes vs Sharks is the highlight of the week. Nantes had an exceptional defensive performance against the Bulls. I don't think the offense is good enough to deliver a title but they should get a good few wins vs the top sides.

Chums with a surprise performance at least from my perspective. Bulls manage to get the win though.

Will have to keep an eye on them. Crowns are finally back without their star qb which is probably a good long term decision from them.

Nantes heap more pressure on Sharks. Hope to put some more on next week as the Sharks seem to be having their traditional poor start to the season.

Started to do individual leaders but very small sample sizes dominating for the moment. I don't expect Staten, Dreier or Dalmau to be quite that dominant at the end of the season. Changed yards/target to Td/target and tackled% to broken tackle% which is not the same thing as tackled% gives receivers credit for simply catching while in the endzone but for broken tackle% you have to dodge some tackles first.

Interestingly while the front line of the Bulls have been scarily dominant their backfield has struggled a bit more. The Sharks linemen have simply failed to show up so far this season. Gladiator have the same strong defense as they did the last time they were here but their offense doesn't look much better.

I don'the think Chums will beat Nantes but I am curious if it will be close or not.

Me vs Sharks is obviously the highlight though.

As expected Dreier's performance eventually regressed towards the mean. Thankfully the defense ensured the win.

I have to feel sorry for the Chums who have lost two matches with a combined margin of 7.

It is. I will admit I had not expected this from your side.

So for the two big matches shutting down completions from the Sharks helped me win. Shutting off supply from Dorta always helps. The Sharks DE's seem very uninterested this season but despite some decent stats I could not finish off my drives. The high tackle rate from the Sharks did not help matters as I was forced into completion after completion to get my scores.

In the other the tackle rate was the big key instead of completions. Missing less than 20% of their tackles while dodging over 50% was simply too much for Chums. Even if they kept up with Nantes in other areas of the match (though there was a mismatch on the front lines the Chums QB and defensive backs managed to recover that deficit to match the Nantes completion rate).

Crowns have shot up to the top of every offensive ranking after a very weird game. 16 completions for 14 touchdowns against a usually tough Gladiator defense.

Next week the Chums vs the Sharks and the Bulls vs the Gnomes will be the big ones. All teams will want the win. Chums partially for pride but the rest would see big blows to their title challenges with a loss given each is at least a game behind already.
