Stats done up again with an overall page. I also included Home/Away overalls (scroll down on the Overall sheet) for easy comparison. Teams are averaging 7 points more at home than away and gaining an extra 50 yards a game. I was surprised at this given that teams are obviously winning a lot more at home and expected it to be higher. Possibly it shows what the tiny margins do. There is a big gap in the performance of the offensive lines/defensive lines. Over 14% of plays disrupted before the pass is made home but only about 8% away from home. That one seems to be backwards, maybe just the match ups? Will double check my code there to ensure it is taking it right anyway.

The effect is not universal either. The Weasels score on 58% of their drives away from home but only 53% at home (their home defense is better than their away defense however).

If people have specific requests I can do them. If not I will focus on aesthetic improvements as I feel like individual player stats will take a while. May as well get what I have as usable as possible (so feel free to give requests to help me on this).

Interesting anyway.

I wouldn't call these numbers 'tiny margins'
In a lot of matches they represent a difference of 15% or more.

My own numbers last season:

Points away 315 and home 415, which is avg 11 p more or 32% more each homematch.

Passing away 4198 y and home 4790 y, which is avg 63 y or 14% more each homematch.

When you put it like that yeah. Though if you take 50 yards a game more in home matches it means you are getting about 25 yards more than a "fair" match (as you are probably getting about 25 yards less than a "fair" match away from home).

I guess with the obvious shift in win loss ratios I expected a more pronounced effect in the background statistics.

As an aside I was absolutely getting the pressure %s mixed up in the code which has now been corrected. Offenses are suffering about 9% of their plays pressured at home but a full 14% away which is a big difference and will help keep drives going and get that extra score.

Thanks Abcat. You are the longest standing club in the TD by a long way so matches against you always seem the biggest test, especially as you have been sweeping all before you this season.

I have to respect that was a massive gamble playing the running game at home, but it paid off, not least because my cheapskate defence is setup to counteract the passing game only, with reserves and trainees in the inner linemen and safety roles.

Going to do a bit of a reshuffle, so that the defensive line isn't so flimsy in future games.

Does anyone know if the BMI update is having much of an influence on player performances?
