Why didn't the Asian region get a cup final this season?

My guess would be due to the lateness of the semi-final games. There was a glitch that didn't process during the semi-finals and it wasn't brought to attention until a few days ago. The semi-finals were finally processed just 4 or 5 days ago.

I am just guessing on this. There could be another reason that I'm not aware, but this would make sense to me anyway.
