I think that there is a BUG regarding players from active teams to.
Did someone had last season a player set to retire and didn't?
Can't say that I have a smoking gun, but should retiring NT players on active teams not retire?
Should fx. Nick Wind from the Danish NT Team not have retired? He was marked last season as retiring, is on the National Team, but as far as I remember, players on active teams retire regardless of being on the NT or not.

Exacty.
George Săndulescu from Romania NT should have retired, but he didn't.
No, as far back as I can remember, if a player is on a NT, he will not retire, regardless of whether he's on a human owned team or bot team. Players slated to retire don't actually retire until they are no longer on the NT.
Also, they won't retire until the end of that season unless they are fired. Even then, I have seen a player slated to retire, get fired, and decide to continue his career and end up on the transfer list even though he wasn't on a NT.

Thank you.
So it's simple. I have to kick him out of the NT until the next rollover and perhaps then he will retire.

This is correct. If I am not mistaken, this has been a bug since the beginning of the game. If you remove him from the NT, then he will most likely disappear at the end of the season if he is on a human managed team. If he is on a bot managed team then he will most likely not disappear but will remain on the bot team until a human manager takes control of team, which resets the players on the team.
