Week 18

So this is the big week, really only one game that matters;

Pro's v Rams

wish i knew, Pro's won big first time around, but going to be closer
this time around

i'd go for Rams by 3

any other votes??

The Rams would happily take that prediction now lol

It's been a good week of training, no injuries to report and the Game Plan is installed and ready to go.....now its just in the hands of the players (and of course the grid-iron engine).

Best wishes to christy and the Pros and may the best team win!

Same. Hopefully it is a match for the ages. I even rested my players a bit to help ensure that I would have a full bill of health.

Good luck!

Final run out was done today. Somehow the speech after got leaked

This team has been together for a long time. This has not been a team that has changed style season to season. We kept with it because we held through to the belief that it would work. Damn near this entire team's history we have been the plucky youths punching above their weight. Well that mindset has to go, look around, when most of you broke into the first team you were some of the youngest in each of your positions getting game time at your levels. That is not true anymore, for some of you it hasn't been true for a few years. You are no longer a team for the future. You are a team for the now and this is your chance. You all dreamed of the big time as we plugged away in tough games. Each of us, individually, have had great games when things weren't going our way. We saw what a loss Strachan was to our defense. Dreier and Moss have been regular performers and both have had games were they bailed out the rest of the team. Strnad did incredible work in the cup this year to get us to that semi final. We have the players. Now we need the performance. We did a lot right last time out, now we just need to do it again. Remember, if each section of the team does what they can do they won't stop us. We are too good. Offensively and defensively we have had the edge on opponents throughout the season. We have protected well, we have passed well, we have been strong in the contact, in getting pressure on QBs and in making our tackles. You men deserve to win.

Most of you played together in division IV, heck a decent few of you played together in division V and now you get a chance to play for a shot in division I. Think about that. That hard work needs to show against the Rams. We can't be complacent, they can switch it up between the ground and air game so we can't relax. Remember last time they were down Jake John Perry. Sure we put in a good performance defensively but we still let Marsh have 7 yards a carry on the ground. Offensively 35 points might not be enough, we have not been protecting the football enough and we haven't had enough penetration.

Think about your careers when you go home tonight. Many of you have minor league trophies, you all now have a semi final cup appearance. Will that be it? I don't know what will happen in division II.2 next season. Who knows the exact competitors or how it will shake up. What I know is that right now you have one game to win by 1 point or a 100 to get into the first division. To play with some of the top teams there are. We have shown we deserve to be there but you don't always get what you deserve. You have to take it and this is your chance.

I think Traujins will just nick it, on account of having a fully trained quarterback. Good luck to both teams and looking forward to seeing one of you in the Top Div next season.

Also sad to see Lilleywhites have botted after making it all the way back to Div2. I wonder if we'll see Lilleywhites III in the upcoming weeks?

It looks like the Rams are going up

well played Gary

on the bright side, we do get to keep the Pro's stats work for another year

not good for the Pro's, but they can be proud of a great season

Rams by 3? mmm who would have thought it

Good call and well done to the Rams. Struggled against the pass too much. It showed how much the injury hurt you 9 weeks ago.

Good season for me. I reckon a few of my players have another season. Might need to look at my defense again though. They are a bit inconsistent as most are strong with a few weak links.

Two safety's was a mistake. It kept Hartery out of the game today and I needed to slow down the pass more with such a balanced offense. Makes the Rams so hard to defend against. I am sure they will ruffle some feathers in the top division
