But ultimately, I'm happy seeing other european people falling in love with Mr. Joubert the way French have been since our Wold Cup robbery few years ago

Last scottish try before HT :

They play the penalty quickly because the french ball carrier is "keeping the ball".

the fact is Hogg, the tackler, get up offside after the tackle and get into the ruck by the french side.

French can't go into the ruck because there is Hogg (offside) between them and the defender playing the ball.

Offside, Penalty, france.

They never actually said what the penalty was for, could well have been for joining at the side by the French as well (French prop (?) on the far side comes in from the side) but could also have been for holding on, not actually sure to be honest.

Not sure why Hogg was facing the wrong way but as the tackler he got to his feet and tried to play the ball when there was no ruck formed; at that point there was no French player apart from the tackled man. The three French guys that then formed the ruck could've cleaned him out regardless of where he started and which way he was facing; the two backs just can't push him over (one of them is using his arms and trying to push him like you'd push a door!), whilst the prop, as already mentioned, is also entering illegally. The main reason he could have been called for holding on though I guess is the Scottish winger who is straight in at the tackle and (at the same time as Hogg) gets his hands on the ball and isn't driven off by the French. When the whistle blows he has the ball already anyway which is why they can take the quick penalty, so not sure it was actually for holding on...

Needless to say, France were poor today and they deserved to lose as Scotland outplayed them overall.

Well the scots played at a level way over the french today...

As far as i can remember, there were already a scottish player trying to get the ball when Hogg is going into the ruck the wrong way. but only the first defendive player can try to get the ball before the ruck is formed, and it my mind, it seems that Hogg is not that first player.

I mean, I believe that is is pushed into the ruck and there is immediately a french player going into the ruck as well, so the ruck is formed where is going in.

I'll check that back.

Sadly enough, even with that unsportmanlike conduct during the following sprint to the goal line ( Flanquart can't tackle the ball carrier because of a blocker, but he doesn't even try to do so...) this try didn't made the difference at the end of regulation.

So even if i didn't said it and i hate that match Good game Scotland

But if you could explain how Jackson managed to referee the scrums, I'll take it.

Yeah, I thought the Scottish #22 was going to get called for blocking on that even when it was happening live, it was obvious what he was doing but the French guy didn't "run into him" until the very end when it was too late to get called for obstruction as Scotland had already scored.

Well done to England, certainly have been the best team in the Championship (the most consistent anyway).

Final round won't be as exciting as it has been the past couple of years, but France will be hoping to spoil England's Grand Slam ambitions.

Italy playing with a botted line up.

I note that World Rugby might appeal the decision on Joe Marler. Officiating is becoming less and less consistent across the board I feel.

Congrats to England they were the best team.

I really hope something is done about officiating which is getting worse and worse. Sure a few eggs will have to be broken but once people know that they will get heavily punished for targeting individual players things will settle down again. I only noticed this against Ireland but I am sure it happens to other teams key players as well but I just wasn't looking out for it with them. Sure some of it is heat of battle type stuff but when it is the same player over and over you start to wonder...

Unfortunately I can't see anything being done about it for another 20-30 years when the players in question start suing.

Sexton won't last for much longer if he keeps getting hit like he has been.
