Well we won, but Mexico was really really close to helping us out there against Norway. Let's beat Mexico, and then pray for Norway to beat France. I fear Point Differential could be the end of us if Norway doesn't pull one out

Well, game over. We pulled out the win, but it was not pretty. Lofton threw a pick at the beginning, allowing France to follow up their first score with a second quick TD. Then, right at the end, he threw another pick that could've cost us the game. The defense wasn't bad, but it could've been a lot better.
PD is 86 points. We're very unlikely to make that up in a week if it comes down to PD when all is said and done.
Go Norway!
And go Joe. If the WC goes to hell but Joe wins the important contest, I don't think anybody will be disappointed.
Update Joe, how are you doing? Keeping prayers going for you

Well, good job USA, but because France won, the only way we can make the WC is on Point Differential.. And that would probably mean beating Mexico by about 100. So unless they bot, we have been eliminated.
Good job everyone for scouts/ support. And thanks Joe for doing your best coaching this cycle

We would need to win by 101 pts

Yeah, who ever takes over next year should really make it a point to rehaul the aging USA NT squad.
Next cycle, I think it would be possible to move forward with a roster where you're just filling the gaps, but in a cycle or two things are going to get serious with everyone getting old at the same time. I'll try to help with scouting in any way I can, because sooner rather than later the cupboard is going to need to be restocked.

Very much agreed. Good job this cycle Joe. Whoever takes over next cycle will do you proud
